Exuberant color and supple plasticity of line characterize these recent works by Chicago artist William Conger. They are abstractions of a world bounding and leaping, tightly coiled in tension or springing outward into jubilant appearance and energetic impressions of flow. Well worth seeing for themselves, and as companion to the artist's 50-year retrospective which will run concurrently as of Jan. 24th at the Chicago Cultural Center. At Roy Boyd Gallery through March 3, 2009.
